~~Support me on Patreon for sheet music and other great perks!~~ http://bit.ly/3bfvX37 There have been many covers, remixes, and arrangements of this beloved tune as it's not only heard in DK64, but also in Donkey Kong Country "DK Island Swing" as well as the remix in Smash Bros. However, the music heard in the central part of Jungle Japes in DK64 is mega underrated and hard to find iterations of. Here, I wanted to honor my two favorite themes from the level, the central area and the underground area. These tunes have a very, very deep imprint on my childhood nostalgia as I spent hours collecting bananas in this level and getting lost in the caves only to find out they're all connected anyway. As for this cover, I initially thought of having woodwinds, but last minute changes had me playing flute and clarinet parts on guitar and melodica. I sight-read some of it while tracking and filming, all one day before putting this video up! Enjoy the best music from the Jungle Japes level.
