Æl-Fierlen are a four-piece band based in the south of England with elements of black metal, shoegaze and folk twisted together like the branches of the oldest tree in the forest. While this is the final track on our debut album, the lyrics to Ællmiht were written after one of the band's earliest meetings, which fittingly took place within the woods, during our initial formation. The second half of the song echoes the mood of staying in the forest until no light remains, and serves as the climax of the album as a whole. Sometimes when lost in the woods after dark, it is your own thoughts that strike the most fear.
