FLOODS AT WASHFORD WEST SOMERSET UK 30 APRIL 2012

Folowing almost 36 hours of continous rain,many fields and roads in the local area became flooded. This must be one of the wettest official droughts we have experienced locally! We had a sunny and dry March this year resulting in many areas being declared a drought zone.The river is called the Washford river which flows on to Watchet and into the sea there.The previous day I had driven my car through both these flooded areas. The first area shown in the video near Cleeve Abbey is now not so deep as it was yesterday..The second area is approaching Torre Cider farm.
