Tutorial regarding simple fiberglass mold making. We make a mold from a speedshape which is made of plastic. This process can be used with parts that are made of wood, metals. This process helps in easily replicating parts. In this video we explain how to make a mold for a part. Mold is made using ISO polyester resin and fiberglass chopped strand mat. Mold release wax is used alonmg with PVA mold release agent for excellent release. ISO polyester gelcoat is used to get a smooth and opaque top surface. Then the fiberglass mats are bonded with ISO polyester resin.
