US Troops from the 101st Airborne Division defended the town of Bastogne resolutely, until they were relieved by General Patton's Third Army. In this video we introduce some of the key elements of the battle, and look at a specific story from the tiny village of Lanzerath, which saw action on the first day of the battle.
