Yes I am trying to keep up with the weekly videos, and this topic is one that was discussed with a wide range of people in my life; family, friends and colleagues etc. 😳An eye opening comment I did hear the other day was from a teenager, who said "Are you foreign?" because they didn't partake in any form of social media. That really made me think about it, and one of the reasons to do this video 😯 I get that social media is huge, and something that every person has some form of. When I first started on social media around 2006, it was a way of connecting with people to gain likes, followers etc. and my mindset has truly changed ever since. ‼️IT'S OK TO UNFOLLOW ACCOUNTS THAT DON'T HELP YOU OR YOUR MENTAL HEALTH‼️ From seeing how social media was, to how it is now - I find it so detrimental to people's health, and I now understand why so many people choose: 🙅🏽‍♀️to limit how much time they spend on it 🙅🏽how many accounts they have 🙅🏽‍♀️how many people / businesses they follow 🙅🏽not to have a social media account whatsoever I've noticed from many new accounts and speaking to people, that a lot of people are after: 👉🏼gaining followers 👉🏼gaining likes 👉🏼overall validation on their posts As I am looking after my mental health a lot more, I have made changes in my life so I see what I want to see, who I follow and what actually enriches my life.
