In this session, we will discuss the recent controversy about the Indo-Nepal Border dispute regarding three important places i.e., Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura situated on the shores of river Kali in present day Uttarakhand. While Nepal claims it to be their territory, India has been manning it for past 170 years without any objection from the rulers of Nepal. Nepal was under a monarchial regime till 2008 for a period of more than 240 years. After it became a democracy with a Constitution in 2015, this border issue started getting controversial. In this session, we will also discuss some absurd comments made by the PM of Nepal Mr. KP Sharma Oli. Understand the entire background of this issue along with the controversy of the recent border dispute and the steps taken by both the Governments in this session.
