New Baby Chicks Arrive! Getting Chicken Brooder Set Up In Time For 61 Baby Chickens!

Take a look at our week and how we started raising baby chicks. Last week Josh got the barn cleaned up so he could start the chicken brooder. This week he is finishing up the brooder so that we can have room for our 53 chicks. While getting ready for 53 Brooke goes to Family Farm and Home and brings home 6 more chicks. They are easter eggers which she has been wanting for a while. Josh spent a lot of time getting the baby chick brooder but it ended up being too big of an area for how cold it got outside. We took our steel bin and brought it into the brooder to give them more targeted heat. This is our vlog of how to raise chickens from chicks and how to raise chickens for beginners because we are new at this and learning along the way. It is so cute to sit and listen to the baby chick sounds. We are working on getting live streams every Monday on our Facebook page. It is some nice ASMR to just listen to the baby chicks chirping. We got 52 Rhode Island Reds – 45 Hens and 7 Roosters We also got 2 Australorps and 6 Easter Eggers and One Roman Guard Goose.
