Welcome to Kandy. You may know this place from the Temple of the Tooth Relic. But I must disappoint you. You will not see in this video the famous temple, nor the second most famous attraction - the botanical garden. We are travelling on a budget and the prices for these attractions are ridiculously high. Therefore, we decided to do it a little off the beaten path, so we found two places to replace the tourist trap with. Instead of the Botanical Garden, we will visit the University of Peradeniya, and instead of the Temple of the Tooth Relic, we will wander around the cave temple called Hindagala Rajamaha Temple (where the relic had been kept for one night).
