Elif Sanchez embarks on an exploration of all the layers of love with her album Stages of Love, featuring songs in Turkish, English, and Spanish, released on February 21. Coming from a musical family and receiving music education from her family until the age of 10, Elif Sanchez graduated with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Istanbul State Conservatory. In 2017, she graduated from Berklee College of Music with the Bill Pierce Award and the Mediterranean Music Institute Award. In 2021, following the release of her first album that blended Turkish Folk Music, Classical Music, and Jazz, and featured some of the most beloved folk songs from Anatolia and Azerbaijan with her unique interpretation, Sanchez captured significant attention with her second album, MI VOZ. Produced by the world-renowned composer, guitarist, and producer Javier Limón, the album consisted of 11 tracks. One of the standout songs was "Vuelve (Kurşun Adres Sormaz Ki)," a duet with Kenan Doğulu, which garnered major attention. One after another, Elif Sanchez released "Tres Palabras" with Paul Sanchez and "A Donde Te Has Ido" from Javier Limón’s Viajeras album. She also brought her unique interpretation to "Benim İçin Öldün Artık" on the "Selami Şahin Şarkıları 1" album, released in celebration of Selami Şahin’s 57th year in the music industry, which included many other esteemed artists. She recorded two songs with the world-famous Alfredo Rodriguez, with whom she performed at the Madrid Jazz Festival, and the duo released "Besame Mucho" as a single. "Stages of Love is a journey, an exploration, a transformation. This album doesn’t define love as just happiness or just pain. Love is a bridge that connects two people, but sometimes that bridge collapses, leaving only ruins behind. Love offers us the most beautiful feelings on Earth, but sometimes, it can also lead us to lose ourselves in the darkest corners. In this album, I describe how love is a feeling that is inherently human, fragile, and powerful at the same time. No matter how different people are from each other, love is always our common ground. With this album, I wanted us to feel these emotions together. Stages of Love will give listeners a chance to rediscover love. Each song, like different angles of a mirror, creates an emotional reflection. This album is not only for music lovers but for everyone who carries the traces of love.
