After visiting Frigiliana, we were curious to see how Mijas compares! So this is another wonderful day trip from Malaga. We start our day with an authentic Spanish lunch in Arroyo de la Miel, where we try delicious traditional tapas, including pastel de puerros, langostinos pil-pil, potaje del día, hígado de pollo, manitas de cerdo, and magro con tomate. From there, we wander through the cobbled streets of Mijas, admiring its Moorish-Spanish architecture, colorful ceramic pots, and breathtaking coastal views. After meeting with a super cute kitten, we take the easiest hiking trail up to Ermita del Calvario, enjoying panoramic mountain scenery and peaceful nature along the way.
