🌊 Camino del Norte | Day 18 | Walking the Wild Northern Cliffs

Today’s stage took us along some of the wildest and most dramatic coastline we’ve seen so far. After leaving Noja, we stitched together our own route to avoid a sketchy river crossing — and it led us straight to towering cliffs, hidden coves, and nonstop ocean views. Cowbells echoed through tiny hamlets all morning, and once we reached the coast, the acantilados stole the show. Sharp ridgelines, arches carved by the sea, and long stretches with nobody in sight made it one of the most scenic days of the entire Camino. But beauty didn’t mean easy. With no cafés, no water, and no bathrooms for hours, the day felt twice as long as it should have. Sam struggled with low energy, and the steady ups and downs along the cliffs made the short distance feel like a full day’s work.
