This Setar is handcrafted by a young Iranian luthier, who, despite his youth, creates instruments of remarkable quality and precision. The Setar has deep roots in Persian music and culture, dating back several centuries. It is believed to have evolved from the ancient “Tanbur” — an instrument that shaped the sound of classical Iranian melodies. Known for its warm and intimate tone, the Setar has long been used by masters of Persian music to express emotion, spirituality, and connection to nature. The body (bowl) of this instrument is made from mulberry wood, the neck from walnut, and for decoration, natural seashell and goat horn are delicately inlaid — combining beauty and authenticity in every detail.
