It has fought us the entire WAY! I'm going to give it ONE last attempt to start "Dirty Turkey" the Forgotten Skid Steer BEFORE we think about other options. Do you think it will FINALLY start? Let's find out together! This is Part 5 of the "Dirty Turkey" Forgotten Skid Steer series, BUT this is also the Forgotten Skid Steer Will It Start Part 3. Trying to get this old thing STARTED wasn't easy at all! I had to summon ALL of my backwoods mechanical abilities trying to bring this little beast back to life again! Will that be ENOUGH? I don't know, let's find out together!! So instead of just cutting out all the UPs and DOWNs throughout this Will It Start, I decided to break it into three parts for your viewing pleasure! When we rescued this machine from it's grave in part 1, Mike called this little skid steer a Dirty Turkey when it was stubborn & wouldn't move for us! Since then, that name STUCK! So this little skid steer will forever be named "DIRTY TURKEY" ~ It's going to take a LOT to get this thing back to usable condition. and just a quick look at it, I can tell it's going to need Wheels, Tires, a new Seat, all new Lights, probably an entire rebuild on the Engine, and that's what I can tell by just looking at it! Who knows if the engine will even turn over, or the TRUE condition of the Diesel Engine, especially since it's was used for a LONG time without any air filter at ALL!! We also don't know if the Hydraulics are any good, if the Cylinders hold pressure, if it Drives, or if it will make enough Power to do any actual Work! In this series we will go through this machine step by step evaluating it and figuring out what's wrong with it, & what we need to do to bring the old "Dirty Turkey" back to life!
