***NOT BRS...I MEANT LANGES FLASHCARDS*** 5 BIG TIPS TO KNOW BEFORE YOU START STUDYING 1. Know yourself: Yours weaknesses, strength, and pace are all important factors to consider when you are scheduling your preparation. 2. Exercise: Use that time to relax, refocus your mind. 3. Study technique: Decide your study habit/technique before you start studying and DON’T switch. You can verbalize your learning by talking, brute-force memorize by writing stuff down, or drawing out diagrams, whatever works for you. 4. Timing: Give yourself 3 months to prepare for boards. 5. Materials: Gather your materials before you do anything, so you have a better understanding of what to do during your 3 months study time. General anatomy: BRS Anatomy, school textbook (Barry). I didn't mention this in the video, but I used one of our prof powerpoint board prep (Dr. Cawley), which was on spot. The powerpoints were based on BRS anatomy. So BRS anatomy is still worth taking a look. Lower anatomy: Scholl’s 240 or so slides (each page had 4 powerpoint slides), Dr. Southerland LE Book (Barry book), LE textbook (Barry), Ohio Coloring/textbook. Microbiology: Sketchy Micro, LANGE Micro flashcards Pharmacology: Sketchy Pharm, LANGE Pharm flashcards Pathology: Pathoma videos Biochemistry: USMLE First Aid, quizlet online Physiology: BRS Physiology, USMLE First Aid Out of all the materials I went through, these are QUINTESSENTIAL. USLME First Aid: Gives you a GENERAL overview of what to know. Dr. Southerland’s LE Book: Best. Ask a friend if you can borrow it. LANGES Flashcards Micro and Pharm: Compared to First Aid flashcards, I like LANGES better because it has lot more info. For over-achievers: You can start early by watching First Aid USMLE videos or Pathoma videos. Remember BELIEVE in yourself. If you think you’re going to pass, you’re going to pass (with hard work and dedication). You can DO IT!!! If you enjoyed the video please remember to subscribe. Thanks for watching! Hope it helps.
