(13 Mar 2017) Marine Le Pen has again made clear her desire to do away with France's policy of 'family reunification' which allows immigrants to have their relatives join them under strict conditions. For her fourth thematic presidential conference in Paris on Monday, Le Pen took aim at various immigration policies such as "droit du sol" - a birthright citizenship. "I know (immigration) is terrible for our social security system, for our health care, for our educational system and for our security forces. I know it's frightening because of the level of fraud it allows and because of how it inevitably participates in the destruction of national solidarity." She then went on to say that migrants were not "France's enemy" but that the "enemy is inside us". The far-right Front National candidate said it was those who called "on the lifting of all borders, the welcoming of all refugees, the dissolution of all cultures and people into a giant and undifferentiated whole."
