I used a new colorization technique, fully restored and created immersive sound design for this rare footage of Victorian England 1900-1901. This new version brings to life powerful scenes from industrial towns in Northern England, including Pendlebury, known for its coal mining heritage; Oldham and Rochdale, once major hubs of textile production; Rotherham, home to a booming steel industry; Manchester, the beating heart of the Industrial Revolution; and Hull, a key port and center for heavy engineering. Through these glimpses of workers leaving mills, collieries, and factories, we rediscover the daily lives of men, women, and children at the dawn of the 20th century 00:00 - 00:14 Presentation - Old and New Version 00:14 - 01:15 Miners Leaving Pendlebury Colliery (1901) 01:15 - 02:40 Workforce Leaving Alfred Butterworth and Sons, Glebe Mills, Hollinwood (1901) 02:40 - 05:21 Workforce of Parkgate Iron and Steel Co, Rotherham (1901) 05:21 - 7:17 Co-operative Wholesale Clothing Factory in Manchester (c.1900) 7:17 - 8:43 Amos & Smith Boiler Works, Hull (1900) Video Restoration Process: ✔ FPS boosted to 60 frames per second ✔ Image resolution boosted up to HD ✔ Improved video sharpness and brightness ✔ Colorized only for the ambiance (not historically accurate) ✔added sound only for the ambiance ✔restoration:(stabilisation, denoise, cleand, deblur) ✔face restoration Please, be aware that colorization colors are not real and fake, colorization was made only for the ambiance and do not represent real historical data. Mitchell & Kenyon was a British film production company founded in the late 19th century by brothers George Albert Mitchell and Charles Kenyon. They were primarily known for their documentary films, which captured a pivotal time in British history during the early 20th century. The films produced by Mitchell & Kenyon provide a fascinating glimpse into everyday life, social events, and popular celebrations of the Edwardian era, covering a wide range of subjects such as fairs, football matches, parades, as well as street scenes and public events in cities like Blackburn, Manchester, and other industrial towns in northern England. These films were often shot in an impromptu style, capturing everyday life in an almost "documentary" manner, well before the era of newsreels and propaganda films. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 📨 Contact me at :[email protected] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - For any Copyright issues, please reach out to us first before filing a claim with YouTube.
