Its a way faster method of compact crafting stuff like glacite especially that overflows into your stash. Eat 5 reaper peppers, each one grants one cold resistance permanently for combined ~200m. Cold resistance potions! With a parrot, you can literally have 6 hours of 10 cold resistance for the price of one enchanted redstone block, glowstone block and glacite.
