Filmed at Ellington Field, this video features a rare sight—a preserved HH-46E Sea Knight helicopter, formerly operated by the U.S. Marine Corps' VMR-1 at MCAS Cherry Point. Now operated by the National U.S. Armed Forces Museum, this historic airframe performed landings and departures while offering tours to the public. Once a vital asset for transport and medevac, the HH-46E is now a flying tribute to the service and sacrifice of American warfighters. 🛫 Also captured in this video: a trio of U.S. Navy EA-18G Growlers, including a commander’s special-colored jet, departing Ellington. These advanced electronic warfare aircraft belong to Electronic Attack Squadron 129 (VAQ-129), the Navy’s only Growler Fleet Replacement Squadron (FRS). Based at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, VAQ-129 is responsible for training all future EA-18G aircrew and refining tactics and procedures for the Growler community.
