I found the PERFECT gully at Low Newton and the Cod were waiting! The hunt for a double-figure winter cod continues! Today, I headed up the Northumberland coast to Low Newton-by-the-Sea. It's a bit of a trek across the cow field past the grey church, but the fishing spot is well worth the walk. I fished a specific rocky gully that fills up nicely with the tide. You don't need a massive cast here—I was only chucking it about 40 yards out into the gully!
