Yesterday I headed down to Shambles Square early to catch the Galatasaray fans as they started to congregate ahead of their game against Manchester City. Police presence, constant chanting, pyrotechnics already popping off you could feel something big building. Then I caught back up with them on the walk up to the Etihad Stadium… and honestly, it went full apocalyptic. Flares lighting up the streets. Fireworks going off. Non-stop chants echoing through Manchester.
