Is the "358 Trap Filter" the secret to fixing Composite video? We put the Sony PVM-14M2E to the test in a direct ON vs. OFF showdown to see if this professional CRT setting can eliminate the dreaded dot crawl, rainbow artifacts, jitter and other visual aberrations. How the "358 Trapp Filter" setting on the PVM works, what it actually does. we analyze how the 3.58 MHz Trap Filter attempts to separate Color Information (Chroma) from Black-and-White (Luma) in a standard NTSC composite signal. Does the notch filter successfully remove the "zipper" effect on vertical edges, or does it sacrifice too much resolution? I'll also test the 'Aperture' (Sharpness) setting to see if it helps as well. SUBSCRIBE AND COMMENT DISCLAIMER: Results maybe vary, and the cable might have issue but overall it solves the dot crawl and soften the image a bit and overall I like the results. I'll be ordering another cable to check things even further. #SonyPVM #CRTGang #RetroGaming
