We know given a choice, if you suddenly become unwell and need urgent medical attention, many of you would prefer to be treated in your own home. In Somerset, NHS Somerset Urgent Community Response (Somerset UCR) can do just that. We can help anyone over 18 maintain your independence at home, by sending our highly qualified health professionals out to you within two hours of receiving a referral from your health professional such as 111, 999 or your GP. We can also refer you onto other health professionals to help prevent a future crisis in your health occurring and if having come out to see you, you need emergency care, we will make sure an ambulance gets called out for you.
