01-05-2025 Kansas City, MO - First major snow storm of 2025 brings treacherous blizzard conditions

[email protected] Kansas City, MO is feeling the effects of a strong storm system that is causing the city’s first major snow storm of 2025. Over 6” of snow has fallen since yesterday when the winter precipitation began. The blizzard conditions have left numerous drivers stranded along roadways. MoDOT signs along the highways are warning drivers that may be out to avoid travel unless an emergency. Road crews are throwing everything they have at the snow covered streets in a futile effort to keep the roads clear. Drivers are pushing other drivers out of the way with their trucks, people are spinning tires in intersections, while pedestrians and passengers push the cars, if they can. Clean up crews in the Plaza are using heavy machinery to keep the roads clear, as well. Shot by Caleb Elliott
