Gerard Baker (Editor-at-Large, The Wall Street Journal; former Editor-in-Chief of Dow Jones & The Wall Street Journal) and Molly Jong-Fast (special correspondent at Vanity Fair; political commentator; author) join the Yale Political Union for a debate on: Resolved: Journalists are to blame for the loss of public trust. Has the press undermined its own credibility through bias, sensationalism, and the blurring of reporting and activism? Or are journalists being scapegoated for broader political polarization, declining institutional trust, and the fragmentation of the media landscape? Baker and Jong-Fast make their cases, take questions, and battle it out in full parliamentary debate format.
