On the night of 23 April, three men pulled over outside an eatery in Agra’s Tajganj and opened fire at two Muslim men. Md Ghulfam succumbed to bullet wounds, while his cousin Saif Ali barely survived. A day later, a video surfaced of men claiming to be members of ‘Kshatriya Gau Raksha Dal’ taking responsibility for the killing which they said was ‘retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack’. As police probe the matter, Saif Ali is living in fear for his life—he is, after all, the eyewitness who identified the killers.
