As soon as I saw this pattern I feel deeply and madly in love with it and knew I had to make it. I felt the classic polka dot fabric matched the style of the dress perfectly and would mean it was a dress I would be reaching for, for years and years to come. As always I've linked everything below for you so it is easy to find. For an intermediate sewer this was a quick, simple sew with some thoughtful, unique design details. I loved the fact there is no centre back or centre front seam and that shaping at the side of the skirt is created with a dart at the hip. Even more interestingly the zip was inserted into one of these darts, which was a fun, new sewing technique to master and was a lot easier than I thought it would be thanks to the detailed and easy to understand instructions. I moved the bust darts more centrally and shortened them to fit my small bust better, but due to the shape and fit of the dress I could have gotten away without these adjustments. I also made my usual high round back and forward shoulder adjustments and have included links to tutorials for these below.
