Schedule I 100% Speedrun World Record

Goals: Unlock all customers and dealers, purchase all properties and businesses, complete all missions. YouTube limits uploads to 12 hours max, some of the video late in the run (11hr 48min - 15hr 58min) had to be moved to this video:    • Schedule I 100% World Record - part upload...   Strategy: Unlocking all customers is by far the most difficult goal, taking almost 50,000 xp. Money for properties and businesses is not an issue due to this speedrun's extreme length. The best xp sources are: deals (20xp each), counter-offering (5xp if successful), and escaping police (60xp for escaping "dead or alive"). The route should include completing as many deals as possible, always counter-offering texts, and escaping "dead or alive" whenever you have spare time. Dealers only give 10xp per deal + do not get the 5xp counter-offer bonus + take 20% money from each deal. Losing 60% of your xp and 20% of your money for dealer convenience is not viable for this particular route. Also, dealers can only have 8 customers, but there are 9-14 customers per region, so you would still have to do manual deals, or lose those customers. Mechanics: Customers each have their own set of data, including preferred products, preferred effects, amount of times they can buy per week, amount of money they have per week, time that they will text you each day to order, etc. Some of this data can be influenced by the products you sell, the relationship you have with the customer, and how addicted they are. Most customers text during the day, but some customers text during the night (past 6pm). If you are asleep at the time that the customer will text you, they will not text you (this includes dealers - dealers do not arrange or complete deals when you are asleep). This means you should sleep as soon as possible so that you can get cycle through the high amount of day customers more often, and during the day, you should approach the night-texting customers in-person to deal. At the time of this run we only have guesses on how effects and affinities work for customers in order to increase their amount of orders per week. My guess when routing this run was that, if I am only selling one product, I should appeal to customers that don't like that product (which I do by mixing in effects that those customers like), and then hopefully they will still want to order from me. I looked at the data for customers who do not prefer my product and the most common effects in that list of customers that I chose were refreshing, toxic, and spicy, so my mix is Sour Diesel + Gasoline + Chili. This mix is not meant to be high price, it is only meant to appeal to customers who do not like the default product. Notes: I chose to only sell one product, even though I believe it lowers deals per week - optimally I believe you would sell all 3 types of product. I chose not to do that because of the amount of time it would take - not only to set up staff and automation, but to manage deliveries and logistics every single day too. Most customers prefer this product anyway, it would only slightly increase deals per week to sell different products. The earlygame strategy and overall outline of the run was fairly well routed and practiced, but not meticulously. The daily routing can be massively improved, particularly around a lot more DOA usage, and trying to make deals in small waves rather than constantly throughout the day, but the most important optimisation that needs to be done right now is on understanding customer behavior mechanics - we have datamined data for each customer, but it is unintuitive - for example, the data implies that Javier orders zero times per week, but he actually orders frequently throughout the week. If you are interested in speedrunning, join the discord found on the speedrun page. The run was a lot of fun to perform as I am used to long speedruns, until money was no longer an issue and xp was the only limiting factor, then it seemed like the only good strategy was to spam DOA and sell 1 product per deal, which was unsatisfying and cheesy to play. But it was still worth it and the game is a lot of fun, especially casually. Thanks to my girlfriend for playing it with me for the first 30 hours before I started speedrunning it.
