Create This Book 1

Hey! I am so excited to finally start this series on my recently published interactive journal called "Create This Book." I had a lot of fun (even though it is a little weird filling out my own book :P) and I hope you guys like it! I chose some pretty simple, straight-forward pages to start out with. I will be getting into the more challenging prompts next episode :) I did end up using colored pencil, pen and soft pastels for most of the pages, but I used watercolor for the creature page. If you are worried about ink bleeding through, drawing on a separate piece of paper and then cutting out your drawing and gluing it on is a great option! It is also cool because if you make a mistake, you don't have to worry, you can just start over! I will be using some other techniques as well throughout the series to dodge the issue. *One thing I will say, if you decide on gluing in separate pieces of paper, I recommend using glue sticks rather than wet glue. Glue sticks don't cause the paper to wrinkle, but if you put wet glue on too thickly, the paper might wrinkle slightly. I know several of you have said that you are planning on doing a series as well on "Create This Book."
