Parents DENY Allegations Over Hospital’s Concerns With Mom’s Cognitive Abilities & Dad’s Aggression!

Today, we have PART #1 of a preliminary hearing in a case with a couple whose newborn child was removed by CPS after the hospital reported alarming behaviour by both of the parents in this case. They are worried about Mom’s “cognitive abilities” after she made strange statements in the ER and was unable to follow basic directions from hospital staff about diapering and feeding the baby. They are also worried about her ability to bond with the baby and her lack of any prenatal care. The hospital also has grave concerns with Dad over his self-reported mental health, self medication, and aggression towards the hospital staff. There are also concerns over the condition of their home and it’s cleanliness. Grandma wants to be the baby’s guardian, but the GAL has concerns over her inconsistent answers around her daughter’s mental health and stability and asks the judge to keep the baby with foster parents until they can investigate more.
