The amount in this recipe fills my 64 ounce Vitamix carafe nearly to the top. 13 oz purple cabbage, lightly chopped, or fill carafe 75% full by volume 3 oz spinach or kale (I prefer spinach) 6 oz frozen dark berry mix (I used Costco's blueberry, raspberry and blackberry mix) 2 1/2 frozen very ripe bananas (about 10 oz) 1/2 cup whole flax or chia seed (I mix 1/4 cup of each) Fresh ginger knob, about the size of my thumb Large lime, ends cut off and quartered, or 2 - 3 tablespoons lemon or lime juice Water up to line of fruit (usually 38-40 oz, add more while blending, if necessary Blend 2-3 minutes.
