In addition to the #landscape, #running #water, traditional #fountains and #bridges, important attractions in Lagadia are the #temples of #Taxiarches and Timios Prodromos. They were both built in 1808 over a period of 40 days due to a time constraint set by the Turks. In Kato Mahala, the Church of the Holy #Apostles, built in 1854. The #mansion of Deligiannis is also preserved. It is located at an altitude of 1000 meters and is 65 km from Tripoli. Lagadia is called the " #hanging village of the Peloponnese", because it looks as if it is hanging over a wild #gorge formed by the #Toothoa river. #Taste the #flavors of #Greek #Cuisine and other #gastronomy #dishes Lagadia is divided into Pano and Kato #Neighborhood. Kato Mahalas is located in a verdant ravine that flows the Langadian river, Tuthoa according to #Pausanias, which is a tributary of #Ladon, while Pano #Machalas stands out for its picturesqueness and the unique #panoramic view it offers to the visitor. In the center of the village there is a #Hero #memorial dedicated to the memory of the fallen Langadins who participated in the National revolution. It is considered a stone work of art surrounded by an impressive landscape with running water, walnut trees, plane trees and picturesque #kalderimia. In the central #square of the village located on the edge of the ravine and surrounded by centuries-old #sycamore trees, you will find traditional #cafes, #restaurants and #taverns where you can enjoy your coffee or #food and spend moments of rest and #relaxation.
