Throughout the week I was invited to have a walk around with the Heritage Council of NSW by the Lismore legend Murray Ings who you may have seen me interview before (see link below). I was however unaware that they weren’t going to let me film on the day so it threw a stick in my proverbial bicycle spokes. But even better, I caught up with Murray a couple of days later for a chat about what the Heritage Council were doing in town and take a look at the progress of the buildings around Lismore CBD and showing the incredible workmanship that’s been covered up for years only to be discovered now. We also take a dive into Lismore’s history and talk about the value in the old school ways of building and design and why Lismore is an architectural gold mine. Plus we also touch on the constant break-ins and theft happening post flood, the lack of help from government, dodgy insurance companies and more.
