For our anniversary trip to Japan (no kids!), my biggest request was to stay at a ryokan - a Japanese inn with traditional clothing, tatami mats and hot springs. We sort of picked this hotel, KAI Kinugawa in Nikko, by chance and we sure lucked out! Conde Nast Traveler’s review called it one of the best KAI hotels in Japan 😳.
