"Gurju Paltan" a musical track from "Himalayan Highlands" (album released in 11 March, 2017) Gurjuko Paltan is the Prithivi Narayan Shah led Gurkha battalion during his Nepal unification. Though majorly inactive in battles at present, the battalion still portrays an important role during the major festivals of Kathmandu. "Gurju Paltan" is inspired by the beat and the melodies of the battalion marching along during the festivities. Video shot during our short visit to Lomanthang, Upper Mustang. We felt proud to be a part in rebuilding a Lomanthang Monastery built in 15 century, severely damaged by 2015 earthquake.We will be performing at Chhoedhe Gumpa, Lomanthang premises in an annual day of Shree Mahakaruna Sakyapa Vidhyalaya June 9, 2019.
