Baldy Mountain is the highest peak on Philmont Scout Land, Elevation 12,441. It is located in the Cimarron Mountain Range with Eagle Nest Lake at the bottom of the mountain. There are beautiful expansive views in all directions. One can see into Wheeler Peak Wilderness and the Latir Wilderness in the far distance. We hiked 12.2 miles mostly in a churning sea of clouds.
