Pain Management in Inflammatory Arthritis

Presenter: Dr Bethan Richards is also a Senior Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. She is currently completing her PhD, has a CCPU - Musculoskeletal, Masters in Clinical Epidemiology and Sports Medicine, and is an OMERACT arthroplasty and ultrasound fellow. She is also the Rheumatology Series Editor, Medicine Today, and Rheumatology representative on the N.S.W Agency for Clinical Innovation’s Unwarranted Clinical Variation Taskforce. Dr Richards is currently an investigator on over 10 randomised controlled trials, including an NHMRC-funded trial, and has published 4 Cochrane Systematic reviews with another two in progress. Description: For those living with inflammatory arthritis, pain is a constant, dramatically impacting on everyday life. Treatment may vary based on aeitiology, the symptoms they experience, and the severity of their condition. In this webinar Dr Bethan Richards from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital will be discussing the causes of pain and strategies for management in patients with inflammatory arthritis. The presentation will provide health professionals with valuable information to assist them when prescribing and developing pain management programs for clients.
