So, she snuck Joash away to the temple and hid him there for six years. ## When Joash was seven years old, his aunt brought him out of hiding. She told the people that he was the true king. The people all cheered and anointed Joash as their new king. Even though He was young, he knew that God was with him. Joash trusted God to make him a good king. ## When King Joash grew up, he was a good leader. He wanted to take care of the temple of God and make a place to worship. But when he looked at the temple, he saw it needed a lot of work. It had been forgotten and not taken care of for a long time. Joash knew that he needed to do something. ## King Joash called all the people together to fix the temple. They all agreed and got to work. They collected money and materials to repair the temple. It was hard work, but they were happy to do it for God. Finally, the temple was finished, and they worshipped God.
