A little while ago, I was in the area for work a couple times and got to ride these awesome vintage Dovers. I got 2 different videos because I did not have much time and these were busy. The other car was broken both days I was here and I would guess these are going to be modernized soon as all of the other garages already have been. These were installed in 1985 as far as I can tell and were fairly advanced for their time. They used a digital controller, had LED displays and very modern cabs. The panels in these are custom shaped to fit the cab. The main cars also has these but with Innovation and new controllers. These do not intelligent level but have a slow deceleration curve to compensate. They take off pretty quick and go about 400 FPM. The display gets a little confused on A, B and 2 but it gives these a ton of character. Floors A-F are parking and 2 is the main floor of the offices. Weirdly enough, 1 and A both have offices but aren’t connected simply because of walls blocking it. A also has a restaurant and a couple other businesses. These buildings are incredibly fascinating and if I wasn’t here on a work assignment, I would have definitely done some exploration. Out of the buildings I went in, here is what they have. Building 8400 - High Rise - Innovation Prestige modded Dovers 18 floors - about 400 FPM Low Rise - Identical to high rise - 10 floors - About 350 FPM Building 8500 - High Rise - Innovation Prestige Modded Dovers - 24 Floors - About 500 FPM (accel is horrendous) Low Rise - Identical to high rise - 10 floors - about 350 FPM Parking - Identical to low rise - 6 floors - on original motors Service - Dover Modded with Bruiser - 25 floors - About 250 FPM (I wouldn’t recommend) Building 8200 - OTIS? Modded with Innovation Decorator - 12 Floors - About 350 FPM Building 8300 - ThyssenKrupp - 11 Floors - About 500 FPM (these are fun) Parking are identical but 250 FPM and screwed up and garage smelled like herbs. Pearson - Traction Impulse - 7 Floors- 350 FPM There is another building nearby with Schindler MT and a few more. Overall nice complex.
