Spider Farmer SE 1500 vs. Mars Hydro TS 1000 | 150W Grow Light Heat Test & Comparison!

I put the Spider Farmer SE 1500 and Mars Hydro TS 1000 to the test to see which 150W grow light runs hotter! Surprisingly, the Mars Hydro TS 1000 had a lower temperature at both 50% and 100% power, despite being a hood-style design. I’ve used the TS 1000 since June 2024, with two successful harvests before upgrading to larger flowering lights. I don’t believe this difference or fluctuation in temperatures is going to be a huge deal for most growers—unless they’re using the light for flowering, where it might be 12 inches from the canopy. At that point, a 10° difference could be significant. Currently, I’m using these lights for vegetative growth and have them positioned quite a distance from my plants.
