On Embroidery Library I came across a project where they made rope baskets from clothesline rope/cord. It was really cool. I knew immediately that I wanted to make trivets (not baskets) embroidered with the Wings in Watercolour design pack (they were not cheap mind you) and downloaded the project PDF. I wanted the trivets to be about 8-inches in diameter, rather than sew baskets, because they would fit nicely into my 10-magnetic hoop. In “It’s Time for Rope Trivets Part 1” I sewed the rope/cord into circles and discovered several techniques to make it as easy as the PDF showed. It’s time consuming and can definitely make you dizzy while sewing in circles, hahaha. So now in “It’s Time for Rope Trivets Part 2” I embroidered on the trivets. The cord was easy enough on my Quattro to sew on, but I opted to embroider on my commercial 16-needle Amaya embroidery machine because I was familiar with the settings to get a nicely stitched embroidery. However, to my dismay, I discovered that Embroidery Library has continued to make Bullet Proof designs which is why I quit buying their designs years ago. It never occurred to me that a Light Stitch design like a Water Colour design could ever be embedded with so many stitches. . . that’s why they are called Light Stitch or Water Colour designs. I am a digitizer and I know what I’m talking about. I was hoping that buying that Design Pack would save me countless hours of digitizing since I am starting pretty late on my Christmas projects. I gave a quick critique near the end of this video about the “Robin” design, which I found was a deplorable design. I, unfortunately, will stitch out several other designs in that pack, because of time constraints, and my Christmas gifts list to be finished. I will also give a full and complete critique of each design I use. Too bad there is no “Made In...” comments on the design pack. I bet they are Made In China like most other crap we have been forced into purchasing because of a “Fast Freddy Government” that has sold us out over the years. Okay, I will get off my Soap Box, but I do promise to comment on these designs. I do not get any kind of commission or kickback for suggesting anyone or any product, which is why I will not even give the website for these designs, nor the Design Pack number. If you want it you will have to do your own research. Thanks for watching and please like (hopefully), Comment and Subscribe. Be safe!!!
