I'm doing my part! I make it a point to (try and) not leave crucial information out in an attempt to make you "earn it yourself." I'm all about that open source FishTube information so it's another fishkeeping tutorial. This time I show how to ship fish using USPS Priority boxes and I try to hit every detail I can think of. I show how four different sizes of box can be useful from USPS. I show what to do with poly-bags, what to do with breather bags, all without an oxygen tank! A lot of these packing techniques apply to other mail carriers like UPS, and FedEx but the pricing and boxes will be different. The prices I talk about are under USPS merchant accounts (I mentioned in the video) so if you go through eBay, Shippo, Stamps.com, etc. - those are businesses that have large business accounts with USPS and can give you a discount. If you buy shipping labels directly from the USPS website it will cost more. Don't do that, the former is free - some of them make money by giving you some of the discount and pocketing the rest for themselves, that's how they make money, it's still much cheaper for you and these are legitimate services. **Contents of this video**** 00:00 - Intro 01:00 - Taping Box 4 02:40 - Box 4 Fish 02:52 - Introduction to two types of fish bags, Box 4 vs Medium Box 03:18 - The Styrofoam cutting room floor (Legends of the Hidden Temple) 06:48 - Installing Styrofoam pieces into Box 4 08:20 - Preparing your fish to ship (fasting fish, but lure shrimp with food) 08:44 - Netting fish out of the water preparing for trip (re-enactment) 09:56 - Preparing a fish breather bag for shipping with aged water, pliers and a scale 11:23 - USPS nightmares (USPS delays) 12:14 - The cost of breather bags 12:42 - Third party sellers that will sell you Styrofoam at 300% markup 13:07 - Packing the USPS Box 4 Fish Package (Insulation I don't like) 15:19 - UniHeat Packs (Hot Potato) 16:19 - Closing Box 4 16:55 - Live fish stickers placed 17:03 - Shipping labels: The Brother Printer 17:28 - Heat pack temperatures range + winter package stories 19:17 - Using a gel ice pack 20:06 - Live Fish Sticker information 21:29 - Bon Voyage Box 4 21:40 - How to open package demo (Scenario Review) 23:25 - DOA Policy and how time frames may give anxiety 24:08 - All the temperature ranges (Fahrenheit) 24:57 - Introducing the other Flat Rate USPS boxes 25:22 - Small Flat Rate Intro 26:27 - Medium Flat Rate Priority USPS Box Intro 26:55 - Large Flat Rate Priority USPS Box Intro 27:15 - How to pack 8x20 Poly Bag (Baby Bear Cub) 30:06 - How to pack 2x16 Poly bags (Water Hotdog) 31:11 - A review of the Brenton Originals 31:24 - The Brenton Originals to pack the 2x16 poly shrimp bag 32:46 - Bon Voyage Small Flat Rate USPS Priority Box 33:34 - How to pack Medium Flat Rate USPS Priority Box 34:22 - How to pack Large Flat Rate USPS Priority Box 34:43 - Shipping Fish Poem 35:00 - Debrief 35:37 - Outro To convert Fahrenheit to Celsius: Subtract 32 from the temperature in Fahrenheit Multiply the result by 5 Divide the result by 9 1 fl oz = 29.57 mL 1 inch = 2.54 centimeters More Fish: https://brentonsfish.com More Brenton: https://x.com/BrentonsFish / brentonsfish https://threads.com/BrentonsFish / brentonsfish / brentonsfish
