PNP MP say PNP MP Dawes JLP Voiced for PNP MP Damion Crawford

Member of Parliament for North West St. Catherine, the People's National Party's Damian Crawford, has been removed from Parliament’s Public Administration and Appropriations Committee, PAAC. Leader of Government Business, Floyd Green, tabled the motion in parliament on Tuesday. It will see Crawford being replaced by his colleague on the Opposition benches, Dr. Alfred Dawes, the MP for South East St. Catherine. It’s unclear what triggered Crawford's removal from the PAAC. But there's speculation that he has vacated his place on the committee due to a deteriorating relationship with chairman, Peter Bunting. Speaking at a recent meeting, Crawford told Bunting he was not to keen on the chairman attempting to answer the questions, he Crawford posed to public servants, called to appear before the PAAC. Several calls to Crawford's mobile phone on Tuesday after parliament, went unanswered. However, it’s understood from well-placed sources that he voluntarily stepped down from the role. Meanwhile, inside Gordon House, government members of parliament revelled in the seeming discord between Bunting and Crawford, breaking out in the chant, “we want Damian”. This triggered an intervention from Speaker of the House, Juliet Holness. Floyd Green, Leader of Government Business in the House of Representatives, he was preceded by Juliet Holness, Speaker of the House. The motion was passed without objection.
