On 25 May 2013, Life Ball united people from all walks of life in the heart of Vienna again to promote solidarity for people affected by HIV/AIDS and to raise funds for live-saving projects. Every year, the most unconventional AIDS charity in the world is dedicated to a different motto -- in 2013, Life Ball was inspired by the fantasy of "1001 Arabian Nights". Renowned artists from all over the world as well as hundreds of helpers behind the curtains volunteered their talent for the good cause -- not only to help those in need, but to contribute to the global vision of an AIDS-free generation. A preliminary record net-result now enables AIDS LIFE, the association behind Life Ball, to support national and international projects through partner organizations such as the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), amfAR -- the Foundation for AIDS Research, UNAIDS -- The United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, the Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) and the MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
