Hungary has a rich and colorful tradition of folk customs. Dr. Bus spoke at the Hungarian Heritage Museum on February 9th, about the annual cycle of traditions that are celebrated in Hungary. Starting with the New Year, virtually every month is rich with traditions pertaining to both the calendar year as well as the life cycle. She discussed how these traditions have been modified over the years and still celebrated in many meaningful ways.
