South Devon Railway | Easter Gala | 19.4.25

To celebrate the Easter weekend, I took a short trip up to the South Devon Railway to film the Easter gala which ran from the 19th to the 20th of April. There was all sorts going on and with a plethora of different points along the line, there were some great opportunities to film the trains travelling through the Dart Valley. There were 3 locomotives playing the stars of the show for the event. One of which was class 33 No. 33002 ‘Seaking’ which made a few appearances in the duration of the video, sounding lovely as it chugged through the valley, all with some cheerful tones! The 2 other locos were steam of course and these were Prairie tank No. 5526 & 13xx Pannier Tank No. 1369, which is the only version of its class in preservation, these both made some lovely appearances throughout the video, looking and sounding amazing as they went to and from Buckfastleigh & Totnes Riverside. There were more locations to film from but judging by their positions, they did look a bit risky. We also take a little look around Buckfastleigh station and yard, which saw a range of steam and diesel traction on shed, featuring a class 25, 121 bubble car etc. Please like, subscribe, comment & share so the channel can grow and get to the current milestone, 1k subscribers.
