Welcome to Wild Heart Yoga Holistic Healing! In today’s class we will be taking a closer look at the relationship between forgiveness and inner healing as we release and strengthen the fascia and connective tissue of the liver and gallbladder meridians (hips, groin, inner thighs, & side body). These areas of the body are where emotional energy of emotions such as anger, frustration, and resentment can be stored. The wood element is all about letting go of what’s no longer serving us and learning to move forward. Taking what we truly need in life and leaving behind the rest. This class combines my knowledge as a certified Yin Yoga Therapy instructor and master’s level clinical mental health counselor to provide you with a calming class that is intended to help you reflect with intentionality, as well as get a deep release of fascia to improve flexibility and mobility, lower stress and anxiety, and help manage chronic pain. Join me for this wonderful mind and body practice to bring a deeper peace to your day. 🤍 **You will need one block and/or a bolster for today’s class- a thick book, rolled blanket or pillow will also suffice if you don’t have these props. Get creative and use whatever you have on hand! :) Yin Yoga helps to balance the tension in the body and release stored emotional energy from the body through long holds of stretches (typically 3-5 minutes), in order to release and strengthen the deepest layers of connective tissue and fascia. Since 80% of nerve pathways end in the fascia, energy of signals that do not get completed often become stored in the fascia. Yin is an excellent way to regulate the nervous system! This is what makes Yin Yoga an excellent mind and body practice. Most yoga practices only target the superficial muscle layers, but the nature of Yin's long holds and mindfulness components takes us much deeper into the yin tissues (bones, joints, ligaments, and tendons) where we can experience many wonderful physical and mental benefits. A great practice for the beginner and advanced yogi alike, or a great active recovery for athletes. Yin yoga is a mind and body practice that can help alleviate stress, anxiety, manage chronic pain, and bring a greater state of calmness to the mind and body.
