An independent documentary film about generational trauma and the journey that one may take in order to transcend ancestral curses through the act of will power. David Herberg, known as (Hobo Dave) suffered from a traumatic brain injury when he was 13 years old. At the time his family was going through dark period where both his father and mother were incapable of nurturing David through this healing process. Instead of listening to David as he began to question the happenings of his family and their deep dive into alcoholism, his parents decided that he start taking anti depressant medication. As this process began, David took to balancing out the chemical imbalances now amplified by medication with drinking alcohol. This was the normal in David's family as his first time getting drunk was with his dad on a windsurfing trip to Hood River at the age of 13. As the years passed like his Father and Mother, David fell deep into a psychosis manipulated by alcohol and anti depressants and eventually was put on Social Security Disability.. Fast forward to now being in his mid 40's and after a series of near death experiences David found sobriety. Yoga and meditation became his new form of medication and he quickly found himself flipping the script on the dark path he had been forced into walking. With the help and guidance from his good friend Nathan Fletcher, David found his way back to his true path and manifested his dream life through surfing and skateboarding that he once knew he was capable of. Over the years of his healing journey, David struggled with forgiving his parents. Many attempts were failed and to this day they still struggle being around him and his shining light. But recently David had breakthrough. He began to understand generational programing and dove deep into his ancestral trauma and through the process of making this film David has finally let go and unattached himself from the trauma and found forgiveness for his parents. This film is dedicated to you. We are all capable of manifesting the goodness that we are through the process of self realization and stepping in and out of ourselves to observe the essence of our truth.
