Forget the Kia Carnival! Zeekr 009 2025 preview: Is this new electric car the best people mover yet?

This isn't your ordinary people mover. The 2025 Zeekr 009 blows the best-selling Kia Carnival out of the water in some many respects. Granted the new Chinese model is a fully electric vehicle and will be entering the premium segment – up against the Lexus LM and Mercedes-Benz EQV, among others – when it arrives in Australia in the fourth quarter of this year. Either way, the Zeekr 009 is mind-blowing is on paper. On one hand, it has a 140kWh battery available that delivers more than 800km of driving range, albeit on the more lenient Chinese combined-cycle test. It also supports DC fast charging up to 800kW. Better yet, the dual-motor version produces more than 580kW of power and sprints from 0-100km/h in 3.8 seconds.
