Breastfeeding is such an important part of your baby's upbringing, and I feel that this practice is becoming less and less common in my culture. Yes, nursing is by far the most inconvenient thing I have ever experienced, but it is 100% worth the effort to give that little baby the best possible start in life. My original goal for the duration I planned on nursing was two years, but now that we are approaching the two-year mark I'm not sure we (myself and my babe) are ready to give it up! There are so many great benefits to breastfeeding for both you and your child, such as weight maintenance, lower breast cancer reduction, and obviously providing optimal nutrition for your little one. Nursing is all about perseverance. Go into it with the mindset that you are in it for the long-haul because you will be much less likely to quit prematurely.
